Mayors Against Gun Illegal Guns approached Purpose to pull their programs and initiatives under a unifying umbrella brand. We developed a new brand called Everytown that was led by strong visuals, compelling facts and clever storytelling. I collaborated with the creative team on the look and feel as well as the website. I also developed the comprehensive website styleguide/ design system and an initial set of shareable data visualizations.

The Nature Conservancy approached Futerra to develop a global brand messaging platform for launch at COP26. Media placements spanned out-of-home and digital channels — including bus kiosks, digital billboards, and bike station panels.

We created a bold yet hopeful messaging framework: Together, We Find a Way — a rallying cry for the organization’s ambitious goals, and a nod to the insight that no matter the challenge, progress happens through collective effort. Visually, we rooted the campaign in their existing brand identity, drawing from the iconic globe leaf and brand typeface. The mix of uppercase and lowercase typography reflected the movement, diversity, and organic richness of nature.

We abstracted the leaf into a framing device for immersive photography — a window into the natural world. And by applying their serif font in a fresh, unexpected way, we gave the campaign a distinctive, contemporary voice.

I led the visual direction and helped guide the internal team toward a bolder creative expression, staying grounded in their core identity while evolving the brand forward.

The NYC Department of Environmental Preservation needed to convey the message that litter on the streets can end up in our waterways. I illustrated, and with the guidance of the Creative Director, developed five eye-catching marine characters that are placed around Coney Island, on bus shelters, in subway stations, and on Sanitation garbage trucks and street sweepers around the city. The campaign had the most social media engagement of any NYCDEP campaign.

Don’t Trash Our Waters is a public awareness campaign aimed at reducing litter and improving the health of New York City’s waterbodies. Trash discarded on city streets and sidewalks can end up in our surrounding waterbodies — threatening local marine wildlife, putting human health at risk and costing New York City taxpayers millions of dollars to clean up. 

Foodstand is a community based app that was born out of a desire to fix the food system. It capitalized on a common behavior: taking food photos. Using tagging and geolocation, users were able to find healthy and sustainably produced food and discover new recipes.

Developed visual identity, marketing materials, style guide and iconography. Collaborated in the design of the website, iOS mobile app, and interactions. Participated in strategy, naming and user research.

Worked closely with the Art Director, Interaction Designer and Visual Designer.
